About the Role

Zed Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and finish drywall sheets in various locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines and a large workload.
  • Stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk frequently.
  • Use manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
