About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Anrudh Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet client specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a sturdy installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and may be required to relocate to various job sites.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in drywall installation is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
