Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Commanding Construction LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets the required specifications.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a precise finish.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure a secure and durable finish.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from damage.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the concrete finishing industry.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training and certifications are an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights.
Work Environment:
  • Dusty and cold/refrigerated work environments.
  • Hot and noisy work environments.
  • Outdoors and wet/damp work environments.
Work Setting:
  • On-site customer service.
  • Commercial, industrial, and residential work settings.
  • Sidewalks and curbs.
Personal Suitability:
  • Accurate and detail-oriented.
