Work Schedule:

Full Time, 40 Hours per week, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Team Structure:

The facilities management division comprises specialized teams dedicated to addressing the operational needs of Emory Healthcare Facilities. We are currently in search of a Maintenance Mechanic Specialist II to oversee and support equipment, patient care, and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to maintenance personnel, assigning and scheduling tasks effectively.
  • Interpret and implement departmental and organizational policies to ensure uniform practices among staff.
  • Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to identify issues and execute repairs accurately.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
  • Operate and maintain various building systems, including vacuum systems, control air systems, emergency generators, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Utilize electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tools to diagnose and maintain systems effectively.
  • Establish and uphold filing and auditing procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns, providing training and support to staff as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs on doors, windows, and locks, as well as masonry and woodwork to maintain the facility's appearance.
  • Engage in preventive maintenance activities and address customer complaints regarding equipment.
Qualifications:

A minimum of five years of experience in building maintenance, supported by a Journeyman's/Apprentice licensure or degree, or 15 years of experience in one or more relevant competency areas is required. Positions may necessitate a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
