Job Summary:

The Community Mental Health Worker 1 functions as part of an integrated multidisciplinary Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Team. This role provides life skills and general support duties to clients living in their own housing, reporting to the HCIS Manager or designate. Services are delivered within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for clients with severe mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to clients in developing and maintaining skills required to live successfully in their own homes
  • Engage clients in various community settings as people with full potential and as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery, and evaluation
  • Work collaboratively with the MHSU Team to provide comprehensive services to clients
Scheduling Information:

Shifts are from 08:30 to 16:30, 17:30 to 21:30 hours. This is a casual opportunity with no guaranteed hours, and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
