Job Summary:

The Personal Support Aide will work under the direction of the program coordinator to provide regular monitoring and support to clients, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assist clients with daily living activities, including housekeeping, laundry, and personal care.
  • Participate in recreational and social activities with clients, such as accompanying them on walks and outings.
  • Support clients with physical and emotional needs, including lifting and transferring clients (training provided).
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors, health & safety, first aid, physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset
  • Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial.
