Job Summary:

This role involves providing non-medical personal support services, life-skills support, and light housekeeping duties to individuals in the transition from hospital to the community. The position requires flexibility and availability for various shifts, including days, afternoons, and weekends, in accordance with the Client Service plan, laws, and regulations governing service provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal support services, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
  • Supporting clients with life-skills, such as meal preparation, household management, and budgeting.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organization.
  • Assisting clients with transportation and errands.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma and experience in providing personal support services to individuals with disabilities and/or seniors.
  • Additional certification in personal support care, first aid, health care, or related qualifications is preferred.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and their needs, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a competent level of English.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
