Altus Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Cost & Project Management team in downtown Toronto. As a P. Eng, you will leverage your construction infrastructure advisory and consulting experience to deliver exceptional services to clients in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert P3 advisory services, including reviewing, assessing, and recommending technical solutions for improvements on assigned public or private client P3 projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews of large P3 projects, identifying major impacts of developments along highway and transit corridors, determining the necessity and scope of proposed improvements and extensions, and communicating concerns to clients.
  • Manage projects, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to specification.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff, external agencies, municipalities, Infrastructure Ontario, developers, and their consultants to deliver high-quality services.
  • Evaluate construction assets, materials, and methods to ensure compliance with permits, regulations, standards, and contract documents.
  • Provide risk advisory services, advising financial institutions and project sponsors on risk assessment and control.
  • Continuously assess construction costs, supporting all aspects of the process commercially and contractually.
  • Manage the team, ensuring engagement, buy-in, and communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in P3 Infrastructure design and advisory services, with a Professional Engineer Designation and PMP certification.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in Sharepoint, MS Office, Excel, and CostX, with a deep understanding of P3 financing mechanisms.
  • Project management skills: Proven track record of leading projects valued at $5M+, with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Interpersonal skills: Professional report writing, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate and guide internal and external teams.
