About the Role:
The Manager, Production will lead the production team and drive the continuous improvement of our production processes to ensure we achieve planned output, meet scheduled delivery, and designed quality while controlling and optimizing production costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Supply Planning team to provide critical production-related inputs and feedback to achieve alignment on capacity plans and delivery dates.
- Establish structure and process to ensure uninterrupted delivery of raw materials to the Production Lines.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of high-performing frontline leaders to drive necessary behaviors and deliver results.
- Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure critical activities related to Production performance.
- Align with the Quality team on brand and product quality expectations and mentor and coach the right behaviors in the production team.
- Collaborate with Engineering on process mapping, line balance, factory layout, and new machine/technology immersion to improve productivity.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to develop and implement layered Preventive Maintenance Plans for machines, equipment, and tooling/dies.
- Align with the Training and Talent Acquisition teams to develop effective workforce plans and ensure expected workforce capacity is available.
- Lead production supervisors and the Training Team to develop and update Skill Matrix and implement up-skill training plans.
- Foster and maintain a high-performing and engaged workforce by developing, coaching, and empowering employees.
- Prioritize employee engagement and proactively identify ways to improve employee relations.
- Align with the CI and PMO Team to champion the culture and responsibility of 6S and continuous improvement.
- Ensure production-related data in internal systems are accurate and updated on time.
- Prepare and communicate production status updates to key internal and external collaborators.
About You:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled production leader who can drive our manufacturing facility forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, leadership, and quality management.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in change management, including ability to manage diverse personalities, cultures, and behaviors.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor, lead, and develop a team.
- Experience with LEAN or modular manufacturing.
- Strong experience with Quality processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills as required for day-to-day activities at the factory and in collaboration with various teams in Operations.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Result-driven, proactive in identifying root causes of issues and developing solutions.
- Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
- Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
- Unwavering commitment to doing what is right.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary range of CAD$104,000 - CAD$130,000 per year, plus a bonus program and benefits package.
