Senior Project Manager, Rail Signals & Communications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading project pursuits and preparing proposals to secure new business
  • Establishing long-lasting relationships with clients through effective communication and project execution
  • Planning and managing each stage of a project to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Identifying necessary resources for Signals and Communications projects in the Rail & Transit sector
  • Developing project scope, deliverables, and work plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management
  • Leading project controls staff, project coordinators, and overall project team
  • Maintaining a good understanding of project scope to identify scope creep
  • Ensuring timely internal and external communication throughout all project phases
  • Complying with the AECOM Quality Management System methodology
  • Participating in monthly project reviews and ensuring all project close-out documents are submitted
  • Acting as a mentor to junior project management and controls professionals
  • Enrolling and obtaining the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, electronics, software engineering, etc.) + 6 years of relevant experience in project management in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience in project management in rail and/or signals
  • Driver's License
  • 8 years or more of relevant experience in public rail and transit
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in at least one of the following sub-disciplines: LRT and Freight rail, Signalling & Train Control
  • Experience in State of Good Repair projects
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team skills
  • Able to multitask due to concurrent projects
