Healthcare Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Seniors LINCS Team at Nova Scotia Health. As a member of this team, you will play a vital role in providing Social Work services to community-based seniors, enhancing their independence and function at home.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Manager of Seniors (Western Zone) and other team members to develop and implement Social Work services that meet the unique needs of our seniors. This includes supporting the development and integration of seniors' health services within healthcare and the community, providing client-centered care across the continuum, and promoting the psychosocial and emotional well-being of individuals and their families.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. About You- We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Social Work and a Certificate of Registration and Membership in the Nova Scotia Association of Social Workers and Canadian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience is required, with experience in Geriatric Care being an asset.
- Strong counselling and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team context.
- Knowledge of issues related to family violence, sexual abuse, addictions, grief and loss, end of life, disability, crisis intervention, caregiving, and continuum of care is required.
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred.
- This is a Permanent Full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $37.31 - $49.05 Hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
