Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocol and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging equipment to ensure effective and efficient performance.
  • Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and activities to enhance technical quality and patient care.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding our mission and value statements.
Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or equivalent with MRI certification.
  • Current RTMR certification, BCLS, and Level II: Basic Rescuer certification required.
  • Cross-sectional Anatomy and Contrast injection course required.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent problem recognition, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
