Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocol and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging and ancillary equipment to ensure effective and efficient performance.
- Prepare written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of manuscripts and grant applications.
- Assist in the preparation of educational programs, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
- Observe and understand hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and contribute to the design of imaging policies and procedures that improve technical quality.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental mission and value statements, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal patient care and cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or recognized equivalent with MRI certification.
- Current RTMR certification, BCLS, and Level II: Basic Rescuer certification required.
- Cross-sectional Anatomy and Contrast injection course required.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent problem recognition, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
