Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocol and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging and ancillary equipment to ensure effective and efficient performance.
- Prepare written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of manuscripts and grant applications.
- Assist in the preparation of educational programs, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the organization's mission and values.
- Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal patient care and cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or equivalent with MRI certification.
- Current RTMR certification, BCLS, and Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent problem recognition, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
- Strong patient-centered care skills in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to drive change and innovation.
- Excellent communication skills with a clear patient focus.
- Ability to manage execution and foster teamwork and cooperation.
Monday to Sunday, 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, and evening weekends with on-call responsibilities. Subject to change based on operational requirements.
Multi-site (Milton & Oakville) location.
