What Does a Loss Adjuster Do?
Our loss adjusters visit various locations on behalf of the insurance company to minimize potential losses. There is no sales involved. Inspection requests come directly from insurance companies.
- Responsible for planning and organizing their work
- Plan their own appointments with property owners
- Travel to locations
- Visit the property and gather information (residential and commercial)
- Identify potential loss areas such as fire, theft, and liability
- Take photos and required measurements
- Prepare the loss control report for the property using Afirm's web-based platform and pre-built forms
Our Inspectors' Work Environment
- As independent entrepreneurs with Afirm, our inspectors work from home
- They travel to various locations from their home to assigned locations

What All Our Inspectors Need:
- A reliable vehicle
- A smartphone
- A Windows-based computer
- A reliable home internet connection (preferably high-speed)
- A digital camera or smartphone capable of taking high-quality digital photos
- Experience in construction, fire safety, hospitality, or real estate is beneficial but not required
- The selected candidate must reside in the announced geographic area.
