About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Community Program Coordinator at The Calgary Society of Community Opportunities. This is a temporary position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality programs and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Delivery
    • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
    • Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
    • Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
  • Client Support
    • Assist clients/guests with special needs
    • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
    • Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare reports
    • Assemble supplies, sports and game equipment
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years
