Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at 14932757 Canada Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle condition and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Logistics Coordination: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns, providing excellent oral and written communication skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Teamwork: Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques, demonstrating teamwork and a willingness to assist in achieving team goals.
  • International Transportation: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Safety and Security: Tarp and secure cargo, ensuring safety and security during transportation.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Valid Driver's License: Required.
  • International Travel: Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including dusty conditions. The ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks is essential.
