Key Responsibilities- Review files for accuracy and quality control, ensuring compliance with our underwriting principles and guidelines.
- Assist Underwriters in the analysis of difficult or complicated files, providing expert legal research and analysis.
- Communicate with lawyers and law clerks to explain coverages and answer challenging inquiries.
- Participate in the development of guidelines and procedures, ensuring our underwriting practices remain best-in-class.
- Develop and update Continuing Professional Development presentations, sharing your expertise with colleagues.
- Law Degree and membership in at least one Provincial Bar Association.
- Minimum 2 years of residential real estate experience, with commercial experience an asset.
- Strong understanding of real estate conveyancing and real estate law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proven ability to develop working relationships at multiple levels of an organization.
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills.
