The General Duty Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This includes a wide range of responsibilities such as assessment, intervention, symptom management, treatment coordination, and patient education, all aligned with established care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care through thorough assessments, reviewing medical histories, and formulating tailored nursing care plans.
  • Engage collaboratively with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Administer medications, injections, and fluids, while monitoring patient responses and consulting with physicians when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage patient admissions, transfers, or discharges in accordance with healthcare policies.
