ABOUT NORTHERN TIER HIGH ADVENTURE PROGRAM

As a premier high adventure program affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, we focus on wilderness canoe excursions in the Boundary Waters and beyond. During the summer months, scouts from our various canoe bases embark on journeys through vast, untouched landscapes, including pristine lakes and lush forests. Our core values are rooted in the scout oath and law, emphasizing transformative experiences tailored for scout groups.

Each year, we employ a diverse team of staff members from around the globe, each bringing unique skills and perspectives. Together, we create life-changing wilderness experiences for countless youth and adults.


A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUMMER SHUTTLE OPERATOR

In this role, you will collaborate with our maintenance team to conduct routine inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all safety equipment is operational. You will be responsible for driving 15-passenger vans, both with and without trailers, covering various distances for shuttle services. Your days will be filled with adventure as you interact with scouts and staff, exploring the Northwoods while prioritizing participant safety. This is a summer experience that promises to be both memorable and fulfilling.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SUMMER SHUTTLE OPERATOR

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Available for the summer season
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety
  • Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills
  • Show attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks
  • Maintain a clean driving record

If you are capable of critical thinking and can work independently with minimal supervision, while also being attentive to detail and possessing excellent interpersonal skills, this role may be an excellent fit for you.


SEASONAL WORK SCHEDULE

This position operates on an hourly basis, with the potential for up to six days of work per week throughout the summer.
