About the Role

Spectrum Health Care is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our team on weekends. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, and skincare.
  • Assist patients with light meal preparation and feeding.
  • Adhere to safe work and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Work within the Ethical Practice Framework of Spectrum Health Care.
  • Continually assess and respond to new and changing needs of patients.
  • Communicate available resources to patients and their families.
Qualifications
  • Hold a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized program.
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
  • Be physically able to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Hold valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
  • Have a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check.
  • Have an updated immunization record, including a TB Test.
  • Be proficient in verbal and written English communication skills.
