About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Appletree Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering world-class medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients administratively, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Prepare patients clinically, including hosting patients in the exam room and performing triage.
  • Apply scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills as required.
  • Utilize our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage) to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure consistent inventory levels by stocking exam rooms and other areas of the clinic.
  • Maintain a clean and quiet environment by cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, foyers, and bathrooms.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures of the clinic, including record and document management.
  • Opportunity to train in one or more specialty programs, such as Travel Medicine, Allergy Testing, Foot Care, and Well-Baby.
Requirements
  • Must reside in Ontario and be permanently eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must have 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in other languages an asset.
  • Must be committed, reliable, and flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to work at multiple clinic/office locations within the region.
  • Passionate about personal learning, training, and ongoing development.
