Financial Advisor Job Description

At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Advisor to join our team. As a Financial Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing long-term relationships with clients, building trust, and delivering customized financial solutions that shape their financial fitness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to match clients with the right products and solutions that help shape their financial fitness
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and referral goals
  • Participate and assist in business development plans through corporate/branch marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and engage clients in conversations to find out their immediate needs
  • Develop ongoing knowledge of CB Canada's current investment/retail banking services and products
  • Promote referrals to CB Canada's Wealth Management, Business Banking teams, and 3rd party providers
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends
  • Adhere to all audits, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks of fraud or loss
  • Provide outstanding client experience by adhering to CB Canada's best practices
  • Contribute to CB Canada's unparalleled culture of teamwork, positivity, and collaboration
  • Maintain CB Canada's positive image in the community
Requirements:

To qualify, you will need at least 2-5 years of retail banking or related financial industry experience, preferably in sales or customer service and a high school diploma.

Although not required, the following education/certificates are valuable assets:

  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
  • Investment Funds in Canada Course & License (IFIC)
  • Personal Financial Service Advice (PFSA)
  • Financial Planning I (FP1)
