Job Summary

The Regional Center Services Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management and coordination of center-wide services, including facilities-related issues, operational initiatives, infection control processes, volunteer services, and emergency preparedness plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide center leadership through consultation and coordination of various administrative and operational activities, working closely with clinical staff to identify improvements.
  • Develop and implement departmental and organizational goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, and coordinate center-level systems and strategies to enable effective operations.
  • Lead center-wide initiatives and projects that cross various programs and services, developing project plans and incorporating change management approaches, communication strategies, and monitoring progress to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain support services functions, coordinate renovations, facility improvements, and space planning.
  • Provide operational center leadership for Emergency Management and Preparedness, preparing agendas and co-chairing the center emergency management committee, and collaborating with PHSA Emergency Management Leads as appropriate.

Requirements

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare-related field.
  • Five (5) years of recent related experience, including two (2) years in a managerial/leadership capacity.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote teamwork.
  • Critical thinking skills and proven ability to effectively manage human and fiscal resources.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of operational planning and program development.
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
