About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foodservice Training Specialist to join our team at Couche-Tard. As a key member of our Foodservice team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to support the successful execution of our Foodservice concepts across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Collaborate with our Global Marketing Category Teams and Business Units to develop training program strategies and documentation for the proper execution of current and future Foodservice Concepts.
  • Training Content Creation: Partner with our North America Training and Development team and equipment suppliers to create and distribute concept reference guides, job aides, and e-learning modules.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct and lead in-store field training of BU Field trainers, store employees, and operation teams on all new Foodservice programs, modeling an established train-the-trainer program.
  • Training Scheduling: Manage Foodservice training schedules to support large-scale roll-out activities in collaboration with the Business Units.
  • Training Support: Manage and schedule product suppliers and equipment suppliers training support activities as necessary for a solid end-to-end training program ensuring full support across multiple Business Units simultaneously.
  • Category Development: Participate as part of the global foodservice team contributing to research, development, testing, roll-out, and planning activities.
  • Training Evaluation: Actively participate with the category development project teams to assess the need, develop, and deliver new training materials in partnership with the Execution Team and the BU for new pilot concept training.
  • Training Recommendations: Provide recommendations and learnings for new concept operational optimization and improved efficiencies.
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance: Responsible for coordinating with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Directors ensuring that training meets all FSQA and HAACP requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate both verbally and in writing the performance abilities and best practice sharing of all field training activities. Update documents and processes capturing all best practices.
  • BU Training Support: Identify, suggest, train, and continuously collaborate with BU training personnel, ensuring that the manager, assistant manager, and store employee Foodservice training programs are delivered.
  • Global Collaboration: Regularly communicate and share best practices with Europe Foodservice training resources.
  • Flexibility: Flexible with working hours and travel to support all global ways of working.
  • Consultation: Consult and advise with Business Unit Management and Global Marketing teams in analyzing training needs, effectiveness, delivery methods, and concerns.
  • Needs Analysis: Conduct needs analysis and provide recommended actions based on field visits.
  • Budget Management: Operate within budgeted expectations.
  • Certifications: ServeSafe certified; dual role certification desired.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; College preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience working in Fast Moving Consumer Goods retail and/or Foodservice industry; Extensive experience in training, leadership, team building, and project management; Supervisory experience desired.
  • Language Skills: Bilingualism required (French and English), both written and spoken, as the person will be called upon to serve English-speaking regions.
