Position Overview

We are currently in search of experienced Corporate Finance Attorneys to collaborate with leading financial and banking institutions in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal counsel on a variety of regulatory compliance issues pertaining to banking, securities, insurance, and other financial services sectors.
  • Draft and evaluate numerous financial service contracts, including but not limited to loan agreements, investment management contracts, and insurance policies.
  • Represent clients during regulatory inquiries, enforcement actions, and compliance audits initiated by governing bodies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of legal practice, focusing on financial services, ideally within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian financial services regulations, including the Bank Act, Securities Act, and Insurance Act.
  • Experience in advising clients on intricate financial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, and structured finance deals.
  • Awareness of emerging trends and advancements in the financial services sector, including fintech innovations and digital banking initiatives.
