About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Premium Modern Homes Ltd. as a Framing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
    • Develop and implement plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Site Preparation and Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
    • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
