Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Breakfast Monitor to join our team at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. As a Breakfast Monitor, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold breakfasts to students, as well as supervising kindergarten classes and performing other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold breakfasts to students
  • Supervise kindergarten classes and ensure student safety
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks related to the breakfast program
  • May be required to pick up groceries and other supplies
Requirements
  • Ability to act quickly in emergency situations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and discretion in interactions with students, staff, and parents
  • First Aid and Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training an asset
Working Conditions

This is a casual position, working approximately 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
