We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Coordinator to oversee our logistics operations at 555714 B.C. Ltd. dba Brikers. This permanent position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and proficiency in English.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and manage orders and instructions from clients.
- Supervise and enhance the operational logistics of the organization.
- Plan and coordinate the logistics processes effectively.
- Review and adjust the types and quantities of materials needed for production and projects.
- Track and finalize work orders efficiently.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor the movement of supplies and materials across departments.
- Perform routine clerical tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair tasks as necessary.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and work areas.
- Handle general office duties as required.
- Manage inventory and keep track of shipments.
Education: A college or CEGEP diploma in business, logistics, or a related field (1-2 years program) or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role, preferably within a shipping line environment.
Skills and Competencies- Proficient in dispatch management and tracking software.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory control software.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
This role requires the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks. The candidate should possess efficient interpersonal skills and be a reliable team player.
