Position Summary
  • Knowledge Development: Cultivate and sustain comprehensive expertise in designated products and relevant therapeutic areas through active participation in essential internal meetings, training sessions, pertinent congresses, and seminars, complemented by regular self-directed study of national and regional literature.
  • Expert Consultation: Offer specialized medical and scientific guidance for assigned products and associated therapeutic domains, including addressing inquiries for scientific and technical information; contribute to the formulation and medical and scientific precision of core documents produced by the medical division (e.g., pricing and reimbursement documents, HEOR documents, medical information packages, clinical expert evaluations, etc.).
  • Relationship Management: Establish and uphold professional and credible connections with key opinion leaders and external experts, as well as academic institutions; this will involve participation in scientific congresses, organizing advisory boards, round-table discussions, and forums.
  • Educational Outreach: Deliver scientific presentations and medical education initiatives to healthcare professionals, either individually or in group settings (meetings, clinical sessions, etc.), as appropriate.
  • Literature Review: Analyze relevant literature and information from pertinent scientific society meetings and conferences, developing summaries of key insights for internal use (e.g., significant areas of scientific/company interest, emerging trends in diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment within the therapeutic area, etc.).
  • Training Development: Provide training to sales teams and other departments; create and update relevant training materials. Clinical Research Initiatives: Design and execute clinical research projects within established standards and budgets (e.g., Phase IV, post-marketing clinical activities such as registry/database projects, epidemiological surveys, and PMOS studies). Ensure the necessary oversight for the review, approval, and execution of IIS studies.
  • Study Management Support: Assist the affiliate Clinical Research Department in overseeing clinical studies, as necessary (e.g., reviewing new clinical study protocols, identifying potential investigators/sites, conducting feasibility assessments).
  • Promotional Material Review: Evaluate and prepare promotional content, ensuring the medical and scientific information is accurate and fully compliant with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Strategic Input: Provide medical and scientific insights into marketing strategies and key commercial initiatives, as required. Monitor the competitive landscape for intelligence (e.g., product strategies, studies, commercial messaging, positioning, etc.) and communicate relevant findings within the organization.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to all applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, and internal policies and procedures, as well as accepted standards of best practice.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or higher.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a general understanding of drug development and clinical research is advantageous.
  • Strong interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge in assigned therapeutic areas/products and in medical research overall.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is highly desirable to facilitate communication across various departments.
  • High customer focus with a strong commitment to compliance with relevant regulations and procedures, as well as to scientific quality and integrity.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset, capable of fostering relationships across the organization and with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community. Experience as an active contributor to cross-functional teams and/or working in matrix organizations is beneficial. Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational capabilities, and a demonstrated sense of urgency.
