About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial planning and management of Sysco Food Services' operations in Canada. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead a team of financial analysts and planners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior leadership and business units.
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Lead change management initiatives to drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
Requirements
  • 10 years of financial subject matter expertise and/or accounting experience.
  • Prior managerial experience as an executive or functional lead.
  • Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or MBA in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
