We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our Electric Operations Technology (OT) Information Technology (IT) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems in relation to BCUC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and training to junior employees in the OT IT environment, ensuring they have the necessary skills to support the integration of business requirements into technology.
- System Administration and Development: Provide intermediate technical support, system administration, and system development to ensure the ongoing CIP compliance within FortisBC.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate and implement system upgrades, integrations, and segregations in alignment with corporate strategic changes and BCUC CIP Standards.
- Technical Expertise: Perform a range of complex technical and statistical functions, including data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and security.
- Education: Completion of a recognized diploma in Computer Systems Technology.
- Experience: Four years of relevant technology experience.
- Certification: GCIP Certification within 3 years.
- Skills: Immediate knowledge of Data Centre technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and security.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage small to medium-sized projects.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Communication: Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Driver's License: Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License.
