Job Title: Apprentice Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of plumbing projects, from residential to commercial, and gain hands-on experience in the trade.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting experienced plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This includes reading blueprints, determining piping system requirements, and measuring, cutting, and bending pipes to required shape and size.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems
  • Read blueprints and determine piping system requirements
  • Measure, cut, and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
Requirements:
  • Apprentice Plumber Trade Certification
  • Level one, two, three, and four apprenticeship training
  • Basic security clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and overtime required
