About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team at the LCBO. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing, supervising, and supporting our Events Coordinators to ensure the successful execution of events and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate events and programs, including on-site supervision and participation in set-up and take-down of event elements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project management schedules and ensure staff meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Prepare accounting reports, monitor and analyze financial data, and support venue contracting and negotiating.
  • Partner with LCBO staff to develop promotional material and other technical support.
  • Manage and coordinate promotional and marketing materials, including tasting booklets, signage, and website content.
  • Attend event venues prior to, during, and after events to provide direction, obtain information, and build relationships.
  • Act as a resource person for general inquiries, both internal and external, for Customer Events.
  • Research suppliers, venues, and obtain quotes for products and services.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with exceptional project management skills, marketing and event management knowledge, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should have superior management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct full-time, part-time, seconded, and external resources.

You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including professionalism, tact, and diplomacy, and the ability to deal with confidential issues. Additionally, you should have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to take educated risks.
