Job Title: PT Server 3-GCT

At Great Canadian Entertainment, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused PT Server to join our team. As a PT Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our menu and beverage offerings, making recommendations to guests as needed.
  • Restock, clean, and organize work equipment and areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of each shift.
  • Clear dishes, empty, and clean tables properly, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist other team members as needed, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Understand and follow opening and closing server duties, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Comply with all alcohol-related house policies, practices, and Smart Serve guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate all beverage alcohol activities at break and shift end.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize tables, refrigerators, side stands, and other equipment in the work area.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required.
  • Adhere to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental, and HR policies as they relate to the functions of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment.
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate required.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Previous system experience an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.
Work Environment Considerations:
  • Fast-paced with multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress, and noise.
  • This role requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 45 lbs.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24-hour operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
