About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our Sourcing Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing category-specific sourcing strategies to support our organization's long-term strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage category and vendor relationships on long-range planning, challenges, and opportunities
  • Report and drive improvement on key metrics that deliver speed, quality, cost, and efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to provide continuous improvements in speed, scalability, efficiency, and consistency in our development to manufacturing process
  • Connect and drive progress on cross-functional projects providing supply chain impacts and risk mitigation to business goals
  • Build, coach, and guide a high-performing team of Sourcing Specialists who facilitate seasonal costing deliverables and model commercialization
  • Manage processes and planning workload to ensure timelines are met to support delivery expectations
  • Oversee finished goods product costing negotiations and procedures
  • Manage the commercialization and development of multi-sourced models
  • Translate long-range strategies to drive seasonal allocation and execution priorities
  • Support the sourcing and assessment and onboarding of new factories needed to support growth, category expansion, and flexibility in our supply chain
  • Develop and execute vendor strategies to ensure capabilities and capacity to support the business' long-term strategic goals
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
  • Uphold Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain
  • By working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually)
  • By adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Apparel or Textile Design, Technology, Merchandising, or Engineering
  • 8+ years' experience in sourcing, design, development, production, or merchandising, ideally including 3+ years' experience in people leadership
  • Strong knowledge of apparel construction, material construction and properties, pattern making, costing, bill of materials, embroidery, and surface applications
  • Strong digital dexterity skills, including the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and leverage data
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, interpreting design intent, and product innovation
  • Proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD $104,000 - CAD $130,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
