Medical Laboratory Technologist Opportunity

At Dynacare, we're committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to Canadians. We're seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Chemistry team in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical and scientific results in a timely manner using the latest technology.
  • Ensure accurate sample identification and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
  • Perform routine testing duties within Chemistry and Hematology, including analyzer maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Investigate missing samples and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Record, interpret, and/or approve test results.
  • Identify and report incidents and non-conformities.
Requirements:
  • CSMLS Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Nice to have: working experience in the Chemistry or Hematology field, knowledge and understanding of Diagnostic Accreditation standards.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • High visual requirements.
  • Repetitive fine motor movements of hands.
  • Perform duties in stationary standing/sitting positions.
  • Exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents, and bio-hazardous and radioactive materials.
  • Shift work required.
