Job Title: Staff Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary

The Staff Therapist will provide quality physiotherapy services to patients, including consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will also provide education and guidance to other healthcare providers and participate in the education of students and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy services to patients, including consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide education and guidance to other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in the education of students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain professional accountability, professional judgment, and reasoning with a high level of communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated.
  • Registration on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred.
Working Conditions

The Staff Therapist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and may be required to work evenings or weekends. The successful candidate will be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress, and may encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/visitors/staff.
