Job Summary

Squantum Technology Network Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Network Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
    • Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching system, network, associated equipment, and software to resolve issues.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers, including responding to service requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Complete and maintain accurate and detailed test and service reports to document work performed and issues resolved.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in telecommunications equipment and systems.
    • Develop and maintain technical expertise in areas such as network architecture, protocols, and security.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
    • Permanent employment
    • English language proficiency
    • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
