About the Role:
Trotman Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and payroll functions within the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit dealership financial statements to the manufacturer and bank
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for dealership financial statements
- Process new employees and departures into both dealership and payroll software applications
- Manage employee files and prepare warranty reconciliations
- Reconcile manufacturer statements, inventory, service contracts, and vehicle dealer reserves
- Prepare and reconcile hourly payroll for dealerships and sales commissions
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processed by AP/AR personnel
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an accounting role
- Automotive dealership experience is required
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
- Strong communication skills and technical proficiency in MS Office applications and Outlook
