About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at NAMU LANDSCAPE as a Landscape Worker. As a key member of our outdoor workforce, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, maintaining gardens and lawns, and performing various tasks related to landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Collaborate with our team to build and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, and hardscapes.
  • Maintain Gardens and Lawns: Ensure that our outdoor spaces are well-manicured and healthy, including tasks such as weeding, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscape maintenance tools.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Keep our outdoor spaces clean and free of debris, including removing litter and garbage.
  • Cart and Spread Topsoil and Other Materials: Assist with the transportation and application of topsoil, mulch, and other materials as needed.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Help to plant and maintain a variety of plants and trees, including bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Water and Tend to Plants, Lawns, and/or Gardens: Ensure that our outdoor spaces are well-watered and healthy, including tasks such as watering and fertilizing.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Will train, or equivalent experience.
  • Transportation: Own transportation or public transportation available.
  • Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
Working Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, noisy, dusty.
  • Work Setting: Landscape contractor.
