POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Lead Financial Strategist. This role is pivotal in driving financial insights and supporting our business objectives through comprehensive analysis and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate monthly operational, retention, and rate reports alongside a detailed financial analysis package, complete with variance insights.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly performance evaluation for the business.
  • Oversee the execution of the annual financial plan utilizing Workday Adaptive Planning to formulate the Profit & Loss statement, encompassing premiums, reinsurance, acquisition costs, and expenses.
  • Leverage metrics to provide valuable insights on planning outcomes to the leadership team.
  • Manage the forecasting process, including projections for premiums, reinsurance, losses, acquisition expenses, and overall costs.
  • Create and refine metrics while assisting management in identifying critical business drivers.
  • Deliver training sessions to users and business units as necessary.
  • Propose enhancements to processes and ensure compliance with audit controls.
  • Engage in projects and provide ad hoc variance analysis as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or data analytics.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting or data analytics.
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with Workday and Adaptive Planning is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the insurance sector is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively both independently and within a collaborative team setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competence in conceptualizing details and formulating action plans for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
