About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at UPCHAR PHYSIOTHERAPY INC. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Health Care Professionals: Work closely with our physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide patient care and support.
  • Carry Out Treatment Programs: Assist in the implementation of treatment programs for patients with various injuries or disabilities, under the direction of our physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Position Patients: Position patients for treatments by chiropractors or machines, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Set up, dismantle, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Supply Management: Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are readily available for patient care.
  • Program Planning: Assist in planning physiotherapy programs for patients, under the direction of our physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Wound Care: Remove casts, sutures, and pins, as required.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Confer with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, organized, and a team player.
