About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at UPCHAR PHYSIOTHERAPY INC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with our physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide patient care and support.
  • Carry Out Treatment Programs: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans, under the direction of our healthcare professionals, to help patients recover from various injuries or disabilities.
  • Prepare Patients for Treatments: Position patients for treatments by chiropractors or machines, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Set up, dismantle, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Supply Management: Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are readily available for patient care.
  • Program Planning: Assist in planning physiotherapy programs to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Wound Care: Remove casts, sutures, and pins as directed by our healthcare professionals.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Confer with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Conditions: This role is physically demanding and requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a punctual, client-focused, organized, and team-oriented individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
