Job Summary:

The Electronics Technician - Journeyman will be a key member of the Maintenance Department at Calfrac, responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of our equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to work safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components
  • Maintain all recording and control software
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis
  • Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs
  • Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees
  • Develop a base understanding of fracturing and coiled tubing operations

Requirements:

  • Accredited technical diploma in the Electronics or Instrumentation field or completion of Journeyman Instrumentation Certification
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced understanding of technical concepts
  • Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems
  • Experienced with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting
