Job Title: Electronics Technician - Apprentice

The Electronics Technician - Apprentice will be a key member of the Maintenance department at Calfrac, responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of our equipment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electronics Technician - Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced technicians to develop your skills and knowledge in electronics maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components
  • Maintain all recording and control software
  • Complete updates and modification requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis
  • Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs
  • Develop a base understanding of fracturing, coiled tubing and cementing operations
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in, or working towards, an accredited one or two year technical school program or Journeyman Instrumentation Certification
  • Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems
  • Experience with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Technical training diploma or certificate in electronics recommended
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting
