The Associate Director, Business Development Lead position is responsible for driving business growth and maintaining a strong market profile within the assigned geographic area. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in commercial lending and banking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Develop and execute new business strategies to attract and retain high net worth clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospect meetings, skill building sessions, and coaching routines.
- Develop commercial credit proposals for new and existing customers and manage the approval process.
- Sales Management Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve profit plan goals.
- Determine the assignment of client relationships and allocate account loads.
- Establish and monitor performance objectives and measures, and provide timely performance feedback.
- Portfolio Management and Risk Mitigation:
- Negotiate customized or standard bank terms, conditions, and structuring fees/interest rates with customers.
- Deepen profitable relationships between clients and Private Banking/Wealth Management Partners.
- Provide relationship banking and administrative support to a portfolio of complex, high net worth/ultra high net worth clients.
- Operational Effectiveness:
- Ensure daily and periodic management controls are in place and effective.
- Monitor non-interest expenses against planned budgets.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to the Manager, Client Services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience and 10 years of banking experience.
- University degree (BComm, MBA, CFA), in addition to industry courses.
