Position Details
The Research Associate Program offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals to engage in high-caliber research within a collaborative environment. Candidates will be selected based on their ability to conduct original and high-quality research relevant to the automotive field.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program, applicants must hold a Ph.D. in natural sciences or engineering, or a Master's degree in an engineering discipline obtained within the last five years. Candidates who are nearing completion of their degree within six months are also encouraged to apply. A proven track record of conducting original research is essential.
Term Length
The initial appointment will typically span two years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs. The maximum duration of employment as a Research Associate is five years.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $57,220 to $161,754 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive salaries, employees benefit from comprehensive health and dental plans, pension and insurance options, as well as vacation and leave entitlements.
Work Environment
This role requires a physical presence at the workplace due to operational needs, with eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement. We recognize the importance of community connections, particularly for Indigenous candidates, and may offer exceptions to work arrangements when applicable.
