Job Title: Project Associate Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Associate Director to join our team at ICON Strategic Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving integrated drug development asset planning by rigorous project plan management within the planning systems across the R&D and Medical enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide planning support to the accountable Project Manager working with key epidemiology, data generation, and related functional partners.
- Deliver high-quality development schedules/plans based on analytical data, benchmarks, and information from the Medicine/Vaccine Development & Medical Teams.
- Build and maintain high-quality project plans in the system, interacting closely with the accountable Project Manager and associated functional lines.
- Develop schedules for activities and deliverables for traditional R&D and Medical Projects (all phases: from pre-CS through Phase IV) to an appropriate level of detail that enables the evolving business needs.
- Recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects to stakeholders.
- Maintain system data quality by assuring schedule compliance to established business rules, standards, and ways of working, along with the accountable Project Manager.
- Build associated schedules to drive Total Project Cost (TPC) forecast estimates, partnering with key stakeholders, including functional Project Managers.
- Develop scenarios and recommend alternatives to the current plan, as requested by the accountable PM.
- Build status reports across key project control performance areas: scope and schedule, cost, and resource.
- Run monthly plan quality reports to facilitate alignment across key systems and PM community processes.
Requirements:
- Understanding of pharmaceutical business, drug development, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in a range of role-essential skills (e.g., data analysis, problem resolution, enterprise-wide project management tools).
- Ability to present data and visualizations in effective ways to audiences at varied levels within an organization.
- Ability to manage timelines, resources, and budgets across multiple interdependent studies with multiple stakeholders.
- Natural curiosity and the ability to explore new ideas and interrogate data.
- Associate Degree - Basic Sciences, Clinical, Business operations, Finance, Computer Science.
- Planisware (scheduling software) / Microsoft Project, Excel & Spotfire.

- Bachelor's Degree - Basic Sciences, Clinical, Business operations, Finance, Computer Science.
