**Job Summary**
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Gas Bar Manager. As a key member of our retail fueling team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our gas bar, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our business.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and train team members to ensure excellent customer service and a safe working environment.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, pricing, and displaying of merchandise as assigned by the Gas Bar Manager.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of all point-of-sale operations, including back-office functions, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked gas bar, adhering to company standards and policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Under the direction of the Gas Bar Manager, supervise and train team members to ensure excellent customer service and a safe working environment.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform daily reconciliations and reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Gas Bar Manager, including data entry and record-keeping.
**Requirements**
- Minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a retail location or equivalent.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated time management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software and systems.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
